The City Government of Davao proudly announces the arrival of ten (10) brand-new, low-floor city buses—dubbed as “DC Bus”—on October 14, marking a significant step toward modernizing the city’s public transportation system.
These 12-meter-long DC Buses are equipped with modern, commuter-friendly features designed to provide a safe, comfortable, and inclusive travel experience for all Dabawenyos. Each unit includes access ramps for persons with disabilities (PWDs), a bicycle rack, CCTV cameras, and an automated passenger counter to ensure both convenience and security.

Set to begin operations by mid-November, the DC Bus service will serve as an interim solution to the city’s ongoing transportation challenges. During its initial phase, the buses will offer free rides for Dabawenyos during peak hours, allowing commuters to experience the service firsthand while the system undergoes fine-tuning and route testing.
Bus routes and schedules will be announced in the coming days, pending approval from the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) and other relevant regulatory agencies.
The arrival of the DC Bus fleet underscores Davao City’s continuing efforts to improve mobility while promoting sustainability and inclusivity across all sectors.
