The Office of the City Building Official (OCBO), in coordination with the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers (PICE) – Davao City Chapter, has conducted rapid visual inspections of buildings and establishments throughout Davao City following the magnitude 7.4 earthquake with an epicenter in Manay, Davao Oriental.
Based on the results of these inspections, the OCBO issued Red Tag and Yellow Tag notices to several establishments to ensure continued public safety and the stability of structures affected by the seismic event.



Red Tag (Occupancy Prohibited)
A Red Tag indicates that occupancy of the building is strictly prohibited until further notice. The following establishments have been issued Red Tags:
- Mapua Malayan Colleges Mindanao (Administrative Building; School Building)
- The Velvet Suites and Hotel / Oroderm City
- Magallanes Residences (Toledo-Building 3)
- The Pinnacle Hotel and Suites (Main Building ONLY)
- Transformer Pad ONLY of USEP Obrero
Yellow Tag (Restricted Use)
A Yellow Tag indicates restricted use of the building. Certain areas may remain accessible under controlled conditions, subject to OCBO approval. The following establishments have been issued Yellow Tags:
- Felcris Centrale (Building A and C ONLY)
- Gaisano Mall of Davao – Bajada (Portions of Parking Building, Grocery Basement, Lower Basement)
- Vivaldi Residences Davao (Building Perimeter ONLY)
- Mesatierra Garden Residences (Jogging Path area, Room 2204 ONLY)
- University of Southeastern Philippines (USEP) – Obrero Campus
- All classrooms of Mechatronics Building
- Stock Room of Commission on Audit Office
- Dean’s Room and Pantry of College of Information and Computing
- Cordoned Rooms at TLE Building (Conference Room, Dressmaking Room, Cold Kitchen)
- Ateneo de Davao University – Roxas Campus
- 2nd and 3rd Hallway of Finster
- Cordoned portion of Thibault Hall
- Teleperformance Davao (Part of SM Annex Bldg., Fire Exit 8 ONLY)
- Rosario Building – Premium AC Corp., Maa (Left Wing Pathway, near backside of EastWest Bank ONLY)
- EastWest Unibank – Rosario Building, Maa (Glassrooms)
- BPI Family Savings Bank – Rosario Building, Maa (Vault Room, ATM Room)
Public Advisory
All concerned establishments are directed to comply with the safety requirements and remedial measures prescribed by the OCBO before re-occupancy or continued use of their facilities.
The City Government of Davao advises the public to observe all safety notices and avoid entering areas that have been cordoned or restricted for their protection.
