Women’s Run PH Davao Returns Stronger

The Women’s Run PH Davao achieved a significant milestone this year as 3,500 runners gathered at the SM Lanang grounds on January 18, 2026, making it the largest turnout for the event since its launch. The impressive number more than doubled last year’s participation, highlighting the rapid growth of women’s running in Davao and the greater Mindanao region.

Now on its second staging, Women’s Run PH Davao stayed true to its advocacy of encouraging, empowering, and celebrating women through fitness and sport. The event featured various race categories, including the 1K Kids Run, 5K, and 10K, providing opportunities for women and young girls of all fitness levels to take part.

The race brought together experienced athletes, casual runners, and first-time participants in an atmosphere of camaraderie and celebration. Organizers also introduced improvements to the race route and overall event experience, ensuring a safe, enjoyable, and memorable run for everyone. The success of the Davao leg further strengthens the nationwide Women’s Run PH movement, which aims to build a supportive community that champions women through running.
