After hosting successful community runs in Luzon and Visayas, Salomon Xtrail has
finally made its way back to Mindanao as part of the activities lined-up in celebration of
Summer Saya sa Isla 2023.
The Salomon Xtrail held last May 7, 2023 on Samal Island was a huge success. Out of
the 525 people who registered for the event, a total of 471 participants showed up and
ran, with 292 running the 15km category and 179 running the 30km category. The 30km

The official opening of the Salomon Xtrail was led by Race Director Dax And of Davao
Adventure, with Tiong Stevan, City Counselor delivering the opening message and
Lance Aquino, Brand Manager of Salomon, giving the welcome remarks.
The runners braved the rain that poured
down an hour before the gun start and found
the trails even more exhilarating and
challenging, leaving all 30km runners
drenched and eager to take on the trails.
Despite the rain, participants said the paths
were even more exhilarating and difficult,
delivering a one-of-a-kind and unforgettable
experience.
In addition to the existing trails, Salomon Xtrail also introduced new trails exclusively
built for the event, providing runners with an even greater variety of terrain to conquer.
These new trails will now be open to all trail runners who want to enjoy the natural
beauty and challenging terrain of Samal Island.

over a decade now. In the Philippines, the race has become the biggest trail event, with
hardcore athletes and enthusiasts eagerly anticipating the event each year. With
different trails and race venues all over the country, the Salomon Xtrail showcases
different terrains, elevations, and challenges, making it an epic experience for all
participants.
The Salomon Xtrail Pilipinas Race is a pioneer of the Green race movement, promoting
sustainability and environmental consciousness by not providing disposables at the
hydration stations. Participants were required to bring their own provisions, encouraging
them to be mindful of their environmental impact.
Beyond the race itself, Salomon Xtrail offered participants a chance to connect with like-
minded individuals and embrace an active lifestyle. The event brought together runners
from all over the country, offering a sense of community and camaraderie.
Whether you are a hardcore athlete or simply looking for a new challenge, the event
offers something for everyone, promoting an active and sustainable lifestyle that is good
for you and the environment.
